Shahrukh Khan’s daughter turns photographer!

The proud dad has shared a photograph taken by his daughter Suhana

Shahrukh Khan is in London, shooting with Katrina Kaif for the Yash Chopra romantic musical and has been missing his kids badly. Talking about them, he tweeted, “Missing my lil boy and girl….they have such small lovely hands….and such large beautiful hearts.” His attachment with his kids is a part of Bollywood folklore. When he isn’t busy ruling Bollywood, King Khan spends as much time as possible with his kids and thanks to the social networking site, we all can be a part of the family bonding.

While speculation about his son Aryan being launched in Bollywood with all the fanfare reserved for star kids doing the rounds, there hasn’t been much said about his daughter Suhana. Apparently the little girl is interested in photography. When Suhana met her dad in London recently, she took a photograph of her dashing dad and boy, were we impressed! Talking about his daughter’s talent, he tweeted, “my lil girl took this pic of mine. i think its the coolest i have ever looked. thanx suhana…my official fotographer.” Didn’t it make you go ‘aww’ too? Wethinks l’il Suhana did a great job and she should shoot her dad’s pictures more often!

King of romance Shahrukh Khan as Jawaharlal Nehru

If everything goes well then very soon we might get to see the king of romance Shahrukh Khan in the role of powerful politician Jawaharlal Nehru. After doing lots of permutation combination Hollywood director Bruce Beresford found Shahrukh Khan’s face quite resemblance to Jawaharlal Nehru.

Bruce Beresford who made Oscar winning movie ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ and critically acclaimed films like ‘Silent Fall’ and ‘Black Robe’ is making a film on India Gandhi and he is keen to rope in Shahrukh Khan to play Indira Gandhi’s father Jawaharlal Nehru.

Presently, he is in Mumbai and met with different actors of Bollywood. Most of them showed their interest to be a part of the movie. At the dinner party, he presented before the guests morphed faces of actors from both Bollywood and Hollywood taking part in the film.

It took the audience by surprise when a clipping shows Shahrukh Khan’s face morphed into the face of Jawaharlal Nehru.

Let’s see how King Khan fits into the bill and impress both his Hollywood and Bollywood audiences.

Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra to Open IPL Season 5 - No Shahrukh Khan?

It's been reported that Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra will be on hand at the premier for the IPL season 5. Surprisingly, Shahrukh Khan has not been mentioned despite his close ties to the sport.

However, another whose name has been mentioned is Amitabh Bachchan. A report from Bollywood Life indicates that the actor, who recently had two abdominal surgeries, is planning to be a part of the opening ceremony. Senior Bachchan tweeted about his excitement over participating in the event, saying:

"Asia Cup over soon and then IPL …opening extravaganza in Chennai .. and yours truly a small part of it …nervous as hell. April 3 is the day for the opening, preparing for it already…getting back into the grind."

The IPL is the Indian Premier League for cricket. This fifth season is scheduled to have nine teams competing in a total of 76 matches spanning April and May of 2012. The opening ceremony will take place in Chennai.

While Salman Khan will be on hand along with Priyanka Chopra for performances, there has been no reports of SRK's involvement. Shahrukh is the owner of one of the teams, the Kolkata Knight Riders, so he is likely to be seen a lot during the season as his team competes. While he's co-starred with Priyanka Chopra in "Don 2," he probably thought it best not to be up on stage with her, or Salman (for other reasons), for now!

What do you think of the news that Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra will appear at the IPL season 5 opening ceremony? Are you excited for their appearances?

Aamir Khan takes on Shahrukh Khan with ‘Talaash’

The two stars’ upcoming films are set to clash once again this Diwali…who will win this one, we wonder!

Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan have always been at odds. With both of their big films slated to release this year, it was expected that their rivalry would get even more bitter. Though there are several months left for the films to release, Aamir has already taken the first step in the battle. He has changed the release date of his next big film, Talaash, co-starring Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor. The thriller, produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Reema Kagti, was slated to release on June 1, but will now hit the screens on November 30 instead. So? Shahrukh Khan’s big love story, produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Yash Chopra himself, will release during Diwali. The festival comes between November 13 and 15 this year. That gives SRK’s as-yet-untitled film just two weeks before Talaash replaces it in the theatres. Add to that, this: every cinemagoer who goes to watch the Yash Chopra flick will be greeted with banners and trailers promoting Aamir’s film. We know that because Aamir has done it before.

Aamir and Shahrukh clashed four years ago in a similar situation. Shahrukh’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (incidentally, another YRF flick) released on December 14, while Aamir’s Ghajini released two weeks later on December 28. All those who came to watch RNBDJ were greeted with ushers sporting Aamir’s trademark haircut from Ghajini. Aamir’s trailers were also screened during SRK’s film. The result? Ghajini’s box office collections were much higher than that of RNBDJ.

Of course, the official reason for the change of Talaash’s release date has nothing to do with the film itself. Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that all the post-production work on the film is almost complete, but the date was changed because Aamir’s television show will be going on air in June. Aamir won’t be able to devote the time necessary to promote Talaash when he is busy with his show. So to do justice to both of Aamir’s ventures, the decision was taken to change the release date of the film.

History, they say, repeats itself. But we are sure that after having borne the brunt of Aamir’s handiwork the last time around, YRF head honchos are not going to let it happen again. There’s a lot riding for them on this film, especially since it is Yashji’s comeback directorial venture. Aamir shares a special relationship with YRF because of Dhoom 3 and we won’t be surprised if the production house swings into action and sorts out the mess – either by requesting Excel to juggle things around, or changing the date of their own film’s release. After all, YRF had changed the release date of their Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif-starrer Ek Tha Tiger from June 1 to Eid on Aamir’s request, as he wanted to release Talaash (then known as Dhuaan) on that date. It’s time he returned the favour, don’t you think?

Shahrukh Khan develops beefy muscles for Chennai Express

Superstar Shahrukh Khan is all set to give a run for money to all the Bollywood hunks when it comes to a picture perfect and fit body. SRK, who will be starring in Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express, has a surprise for us.

We have seen Shahrukh flaunting his six-pack abs in Om Shanti Om. Reportedly, the superstar will once again hit the gym for a hot bod. Shahrukh will develop a muscular physique for his upcoming Chennai Express.

Chennai Express have been hogging the media limelight for its much speculated female lead. The buzz was rife that either of the actresses Kareena, Deepika or Asin might be seen opposite to the King Khan, that infuriated Shetty as he refuted all such rumours.

Shahrukh Khan to fight corruption!

We mean in a film – we hear that SRK has agreed to be part of the Hindi remake of Ghajini director AR Murugadoss’ Tamil blockbuster Ramana

Superstar Shahrukh Khan is far away in the cold climate of London shooting for Yash Chopra’s film, but back home there’s lots happening to keep him hot in the news. Fresh goss is that the Don 2 actor has at last given a thumbs up to AR Murugadoss’ for the Hindi remake of his Tamil blockbuster Ramana, which will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is about an ordinary man who takes up the cause to fight corruption after a personal tragedy. By the way, if it goes as per the makers’ wishes, the Hindi version of Ramana may bring together the Devdas co-stars, SRK and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Apparently it wasn’t child’s play for Murugadoss and Bhansali to get the superstar to say ‘yes’ to film. ‘Coz around the same time SRK was in talks with another South director, Gautham Menon – who made Ekk Deewana Tha – for a cop drama. But two things worked against the filmmaker. One, the protagonist’s police character, is a personality that has risen to fame since the success of Dabangg and Singham and could already be overdone. Two, the failure of Menon’s last release dissuaded the superstar from doing the film. In the bargain, Murugadoss got lucky and he found his ‘common man’ to fight corruption in superstar SRK.
